Amir has his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, M.Sc. in Computer Science (Information Systems) and PhD in Artificial Intelligence (major in Educational Data Mining). His B.Sc. project focused on developing a new code for improving the performance of a line detector robot. In his M.Sc. thesis, he developed a new model for applying Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in e-complaint systems. Amir completed his PhD at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He developed a novel adaptive strategy for using examples in Intelligent Tutoring Systems. His model is well-known internationally, and his papers won two best student paper awards from two prestigious conferences: Int. Conf. on Computers in Education (ICCE) and Int. Conf. on User Modelling, Adaptation and Personalization (UMAP). UMAP is one of the top tier conferences (Rank 1) in the area of Artificial Intelligence.
Amir is the author of more than 21 journal and conference papers, of which five conference papers are published in A-ranked conferences. The conference ranking is based on the classification provided by The Computing Research and Education Association of Australasia. He has presented his work in many prestigious conferences around the world including United States, Greece and New Zealand.
In 2014, Amir joined JN Solutions as a data scientist and Tableau administrator/developer. He currently holds the following positions:
